Crafting Excellence From Farm To Pack

This process cleans the RCN to remove all the dust, small sized and immature nuts.

Then nuts need to go through a rotary graders to get categorized as per their sizes.

Here, nuts take bath to get rid of all the mud, dust and stones or heavy metal particles. It makes the further process smooth.

After the wash, nuts go through a steaming chamber (a Cooker) which makes the kernels easy to get out of the shell.

In this cutting process the cutters cut the thick layer of shell on the cashews and Cashew Kernels get out of it.

This process plays a vital role, in this process nuts go through heating chambers for long 8/9 hrs at 70 degree celsius temperature. This process removes all the moisture content and helps nuts to get pilled easily.

For the kernels to get pilled (from the thin layer on kernels) easily with less breakages this process is important. In this process cashew kernels need to stay in a chamber for a certain period of time where humidity is maintained to make them moisturized.

Here after this process the Cashew Kernels get rid of a thin skin which naturally exists on it and we get the fresh and white kernel that we eat. But wait…! Still we cannot eat these charming nuts. There are several processes through which nuts need to go to.

This drying process again removes the moisture content from the cashew kernels and makes them crispy. In this step nuts again need to stay in the heating chambers for a couple of hours.

In the machine sorting process, nuts get sorted based on their colour, sizes and shapes.

After machine sorting, nuts get sorted manually from the expert graders (woman graders) in 38 types of grades based on their size, shape, and colour.

This process makes sure the nuts’ quality is equal and appropriate. This is a mandatory process from which nuts need to get passed through before getting packed.
